Store will bring 100 new jobs to the area
KATY, TEXAS (September 22, 2015) - Academy, Ltd. (d/b/a Academy Sports + Outdoors), a
premier sports, outdoor and lifestyle retailer, announced that it will open a second location in
Lubbock at the intersection of 114th St. and Quaker Ave. in 2016. The new store will be
approximately 63,000 feet and bring 100 new jobs to the area.

The new location will provide similar services to the existing location such as scope mounting,
bore sighting, line winding/spooling, propane exchange, racquet stringing and sell hunting and
fishing licenses.
