Academy Sports + Outdoors adds first Stillwater store; brings 125 new jobs
KATY, TEXAS (June 19, 2015) – – Academy, Ltd. (d/b/a Academy Sports + Outdoors), a premier

first store in Stillwater and eighth store in the state. The 63,000 square foot store brings
approximately 125 new jobs to the community and is located at 2409 N. Perkins Road.

scope mounting, bore sighting, line winding/spooling, propane exchange, racquet stringing and
sells hunting and fishing licenses.
Prior to opening, the store donated $100 Academy Sports + Outdoors gift cards to 15 members
of the Boys and Girls Club of Saline County and 15 members of the Boys & Girls Club of Bryant
to be the store’s first customers and shop for anything they like during this private shopping
event.
On Friday, June 26, the Stillwater community is invited to join in for a three-day grand opening
celebration. The free event includes giveaways, interactive demonstrations by brands sold at
Academy Sports + Outdoors, games for the whole family, and more. In addition to the numerous
events are line up and wins for Academy mystery gift cards, free Under Armour T-Shirts and
Berkley tackle bags.
