Academy Sports + Outdoors adds Waxahachie store; brings 100 new jobs to the area
KATY, TEXAS (November 20, 2015) – Academy, Ltd. (d/b/a Academy Sports + Outdoors), a

opens its first store in Waxahachie. The 63,000 square foot store brings over 100 new jobs to
the community and is located at 1650 N. Hwy 77.

of the Waxahachie Family YMCA to be the store’s first customers and shop for anything they
like during this private shopping event.
Beginning today, the Waxahachie community is invited to join in for a three-day grand opening
celebration. The free event includes giveaways, interactive demonstrations by brands sold at
Academy Sports + Outdoors, games for the whole family, and more. In addition to the numerous
events are line up and wins for Academy mystery gift cards, free Under Armour T-Shirts and up
to $50 towards the purchase of Columbia product.
