Academy Sports + Outdoors opens first store in Terre Haute today; brings 100 new jobs
KATY, TEXAS (November 13, 2015) – Academy, Ltd. (d/b/a Academy Sports + Outdoors), a

opens its first store in the Terre Haute area and second store in the state of Indiana. The 63,000
square foot store brings over 100 new jobs to the community and is located at 4444 S. US Hwy 41.

scope mounting, bore sighting, line winding/spooling, propane exchange, racquet stringing and
sells hunting and fishing licenses.
Prior to opening, the store donated $100 Academy Sports + Outdoors gift cards to 30 members
of the Terre Haute Boys & Girls Club to be the store’s first customers and shop for anything they
like during this private shopping event.
Beginning today, the Terre Haute community is invited to join in for a three-day grand opening
celebration. The free event includes giveaways, interactive demonstrations by brands sold at
Academy Sports + Outdoors, games for the whole family, and more. In addition to the numerous
events are line up and wins for Academy mystery gift cards, free Under Armour T-Shirts and up
to $50 towards the purchase of Columbia product.
