Stores open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday
KATY, TEXAS (November 15, 2016) – Academy, Ltd. (d/b/a Academy Sports + Outdoors), a
premier sports, outdoor and recreation lifestyle retailer, will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day
and open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.
Academy offers gifts for the whole family at a great value from a wide array of top brands
including Nike, Under Armour, adidas and Yeti. This season’s top gifts include trampolines,
fitness equipment, basketball systems, gun safes, micro drones, blitzball and motorized rideons.

that customers can begin shopping when stores are closed. Academy will provide savings on
significantly more items throughout Thanksgiving Weekend and Cyber Week along with better

New to Academy Sports + Outdoors this holiday season is the “Price Match + 5%” guarantee. If
customers find a lower price elsewhere on an identical, in-stock merchandise item advertised in
print by any local retailer, or online by any select online retailers, show the ad while it remains
valid and if the competitor’s price is lower, then Academy will beat it by 5%. There will also be
matching of academy.com pricing for in-store purchases and in-store pricing for academy.com
purchases. Customers must present a verifiable copy of the advertised price, either by
presenting the entire printed ad or a digital version on a mobile device if in store. Or if
